The environment is an important concern to the BVGC, and we give a scholarship every year to a high school graduate headed to college to major in enviromental studies.

The 2025 BVGC Scholarship Winner is Genevieve Tappendorf
​
Genevieve Tappendorf, a 2025 graduate of Masconomet Regional High School, has been awarded the 2025 Boxford Village Garden Club Scholarship. This fall, she will begin her studies in Environmental Conservation and Sustainability at the University of New Hampshire.
​
Genevieve’s passion for the environment has been shaped by years of outdoor exploration and community service through Scouting America. One of the highlights of her Scouting journey was her Eagle Scout Service Project, in which she designed and established a community garden at 10 Elm Center in Boxford - a project that reflects her deep commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
