Town Hall / Library Planting

In the Spring and Summer of 2022, the Boxford Town Hall / Library was planted with native plants in a new landscape design by the Boxford Village Garden Club.

For this effort, we received the Virginia F. Thurston Landscape Design award from the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts in 2023.

Annual Spring Trash Pickup - Part of Earth Day

Every April before Earth Day in Boxford, the Boxford Village Garden Club volunteers gather together to pick up trash on a public street in Boxford.

Usually a highly-traficked egress such as a highway offramp or main thoroughfare, we always operate with safety, and always have a good time - no matter what the weather.

Invasive Plant Trimming

The Conservation Committee of the BVGC has informed our membership and the public about the dangers of invasive species, and the methods of irradication.

The best time to identify and irradicate Oriental Bittersweet Vine is late winter / early spring, before plants begin to bloom.

Our team has been out several times, pulling and snipping, as you can see.
